April flowers...

Thanks for El Nino and the rain it brought to Central Texas, we are enjoying a bumber crop of wildflowers this spring!

The season has barely begun and there are bluebonnets creating a sea of blue over just about every green and brown surface imaginable. Our front yard/garden has many bluebonnets, but it has even more Indian Blanket, which haven't started blooming yet. We expect them to bloom any day now.

• Andy and Luke color Easter eggs. April 4, 2010..

We took the opportunity to visit the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center on Easter Day to take some pictures, relax and go on an Easter egg hunt.

Earlier in the day, Luke and Andy boiled some eggs, set out some dye, and colored Easter eggs. We all had a lot of fun -- it was the first time we did that. Luke's growing up so fast! He's ready for all of the big kid stuff it seems like!
